Your dog will show two types of aggression

Dear Adam:

I am writing about our dog Rudy, a mixture of three years of age to goldie Five months ago we adopted from a shelter. We have received different opinions about your mix. Some have said Goldie / pastor, some have said Goldie / chow. The latter is the opinion of the] [local academy of Dog Training, where your board currently enrolled in a month and a program to train. We enrolled him because he attacked a month ago a runner. The runner was running for my husband, who had Rudy in one sitting with a loose belt. I read your book and I think the coach was an example sting of fear of aggression? (I do not know what to think about the corridor, however.) The Academy seems to be saying that you can not train his reaction, which only must be vigilant and aware of your triggers. Needless to say, and I now believe to be cornered one of their triggers. (Our vet has also mentioned that when cornered him to look at a table, which had broken out at them.) But your book and tapes led me to believe you can train this behavior of a dog. Or am I misunderstanding? If you simply just getting the dog to react to that instead of following their gut reaction? Certainly that's a good thing but what if someone else when activated?

We need a little perspective on this situation. I love it and want to give him every opportunity to learn correct behavior. But on the other hand, we live in a densely packed corridor and neighborhood children. We can not have if there is reasonable risk of such things happening again.

Thanks for the e-mail.

Got a few things to consider:

1. The dog has to be firmly corrected string. To get the best cyclist of aggression is a dam-based. Correct him for this, as described in the book.
